Still not convinced

IN response to Mr Dave Watts letter 'Give Parkside a chance' (Dear Star June 8) I agree that transferring freight from road to rail is a great idea for the environment and reducing congestion on roads. However, regarding Parkside, I am sure that Mr Watts is fully aware of the logistical difficulties regarding existing traffic congestion and access from the West Coast Mainline to the Green Belt Parkside site. There are also a number of more appropriate freight terminal sites across the North West with Ditton, Trafford Park and Port Salford to name just three.  more...
